Bobby Skulls' Bio
Queen City Rocker was born from Bobby Skulls' thrashing of the LA music scene. The Rhones, his previous underground Los Angeles outfit until 2007, have become the darlings of Prime Time with their songs featured on TV’s My Name is Earl, The Mentalist, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and in the film Pulse. The Rhones shared stages with the likes of Wayne Kramer and Dee Dee Ramone, and the band’s weekly gig at the Sunset Strip's Cat Club with Guns and Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke became the LA scene’s go-to phenomena, because their explosive sets never failed to amaze.
Skulls' incarnation before The Rhones was Elektra recording artist Ghettoblaster, who after cleaning house at CMJ shared the stage with indie heroes and major leaguers like Rilo Kiley, Warlocks, The Mars Volta, Incubus, Everlast, and a solo Dave Navarro. Before Ghettoblaster, Skulls was snagged as temporary touring guitarist for Brooklyn, New York’s 2 Skinnee J’s.
